About Us

 Dr. Uriah Maimone is a South Bay native, who worked for Peninsula Physical Therapy as a PT

aide and has now returned as a Physical Therapist. He received his undergraduate and graduate

degrees from Cal Polytechnic Humboldt (CPH) with a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an

emphasis in Exercise Science Human Performance 2016. At CPH, he conducted a project thesis,

which compared elite vs. amateur Mixed Martial Art (MMA) Fighters on various

anthropometric and physical characteristics to establish a reference for their athletic profile,

focusing on body composition, skill-related physical test components, and muscular fitness,

which was submitted for publication in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning and was the

first study of its kind. During the summers of 2014 to 2016, he interned at an Elite Performance

Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This facility specializes in athletic performance

enhancement for world-class athletes in professional sports such as Ultimate Fighting

Championship (UFC) and National Hockey League (NHL) competitors. He later continued his

education 2019 - 2021 and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of St.

Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. Dr. Uriah has learned a variety of manual

techniques, movement-based approaches, and weight training techniques throughout his formal

and clinical education. He uses functional movement assessments for optimum biomechanics and

up-to-date research to formulate a specific rehabilitation program tailored to each individual

patient to optimally help patients and exercise clients enhance the quality of their daily life by

regaining movement and managing pain. When not treating patients, you can find him in an

MMA gym or at the Bay Club. He has taken part and trained in MMA for over 20 years, and

enjoys movies, Marvel and DC comics, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. “I
